Tottenham Hotspur blew away Pep Guardiola's side 0-4 at the Etihad Stadium, as Ange Postecoglou's men made a statement win, bouncing back from a poor defeat to Ipswich a fortnight ago.
Tottenham came into this clash without both first choice centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven, due to respective hamstring and toe injuries, forcing Postecoglou to call upon Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies.
A dominant first opening 10 minutes from the hosts suggested it was going to be a tricky evening for the North London side, however only 3 minutes later James Maddison cushioned Tottenham ahead with their first assault of the day. From then on, Tottenham capitalised on City's sloppy passing, with Maddison playing a one-two with captain Heung-Min Son, before clipping over Ederson to send the travelling fans into raptures.

A change was made at the break by Guardiola in an attempt to shut out the rampant Tottenham attack, however only 7 minutes after the interval, Spaniard Pedro Porro crashed in a third to give Tottenham stability. Although, from this moment on the hosts constantly threatened, but simply weren't clinical enough in front of goal, with Vicario making some key saves.
It looked like Tottenham were on their way to three goals and three points, however Brennan Johnson turned in from Timo Werner's cross-shot, to add a fourth and cap off a truly magical evening at the Etihad, and as for Manchester City, leaving them wondering what they must do, after now losing 5 in a row in all competitions.
