THE DEITIES SET TO MARK A NEW ERA WITH HEADLINE SHOW AT BEDFORD ESQUIRES

Bedford’s alternative rock scene is preparing for a standout night as rising four-piece The Deities get ready to headline Bedford Esquires for the first time. Taking place on Thursday 30 April 2026, the show also acts as the official single launch party for their latest release, Find Yourself Changed, a track that captures the band’s raw emotion, intensity and growing ambition.

Formed in 2025, The Deities came together through a shared love of emotive, grunge leaning alternative rock, having met while studying at college. The Bedford based band is made up of Kiera Smalley, Herbie Beavis, George Hayhurst and Jackson McDonald, and they have quickly gained attention for their charged live performances, blending ethereal vocals with driving guitars and a dark, immersive atmosphere.

Often compared to artists such as Wunderhorse, Brooki and Deftones, The Deities deliver a sound that balances vulnerability with power. Their music leans into introspection while retaining a heavy, visceral edge that thrives in a live setting. Each performance is designed not just to entertain, but to connect, drawing audiences into a moody and emotionally resonant experience.

Stepping up as headliners at Esquires represents a significant milestone for the band. The venue is widely regarded as a cornerstone of Bedford’s music scene and has played host to countless breakthrough moments for emerging artists over the years.

“We’ve played Esquires before, but this is our first time headlining,” the band say. “It means a lot to be launching Find Yourself Changed here. It’s such an important venue for Bedford and a place we’ve always wanted to properly make our mark.”
