Bedfordshire alt rockers WKTD (Who Killed The Dinosaurs) are set to evolve once again, with a sound that’s heavier, darker, and more electrifying. Following the success of their debut EP The Garden, released in August 2024, and a standout live appearance at Liverpool’s SOTTO in February, the band is back with their first new release of 2025.
Their new single, Blossom, drops August 1st, and it’s already shaping up to be a defining moment for the group.
🌱 A Shift in Sound
Where The Garden leaned into shimmering indie textures, Blossom takes a harder swing into the alt rock space. Gritty guitar tones, punchier drums, and a more urgent vocal energy all signal a new direction for WKTD, one that’s been building over the past year.
In their recent announcement, the band wrote,
“Super excited to share this one with all of you, and a special thank you to everyone who has helped put this together.”They gave a heartfelt shoutout to Rich @londonroadstudios, who spent “countless hours” fine-tuning the track, and to @jos.shepherd, who delivered the “crucial finishing touches.”
🎤 Hear It Live
For fans who can’t wait until release day, WKTD have two major gigs lined up:
25 July 2025 – Supporting The GANS (venue TBC), where Blossom will make its live debut
3 August 2025 – Multitude Fest, their biggest summer appearance yet
Both shows offer a first listen to this heavier, more anthemic sound, and a chance to experience the band’s new era up close.
